Ways You Can Help

Volunteer!

Did you know that GME is the only local school that has a free Family Fun Night? Help us keep this fantastic event going by volunteering to help out with one of our activity stations or with set up or tear down. Slots are only 1/2 hr so you will still have lots of time to have fun with your family. Take a look and see where you can help, and please sign up for at least 1 volunteer slot per family. We need a lot of volunteers to make this night happen – please help out.

Older siblings grade 7 and up are welcome to volunteer too!

Do you have a plethora of stuffies? Want to get rid of a few?

Due to changes in rules around homemade food coming to school to share, we are changing the look of our cake walk. It will now be a stuffie walk. We need to gather clean, lightly used/new stuffies to make this happen. Please send in any appropriate stuffies to school by May 30th.

All kids will be able to participate in the activity, regardless if they were able to bring in a stuffie or not.

Following our theme of “Camp Glenmore” we will call this activity a nature hike to spot wild GME woodland animals. All stuffies, regardless of species, can be a GME Woodland animal!

• Is a penguin a GME woodland animal? You bet!
• A sheep? Yes
• Dragon? Why not?
• Unicorn? Yes, one of the most rare GME woodland animals

One of the favourite events at Family Fun Night is always the Fishing Pond. We are looking for donations for prizes that are summer/camp themed. Does your work have any SWAG that could be donated? Does your family want to donate prizes or money towards prizes?

Things like:

• Frisbees
• Beach balls
• Baseball hats
• Card Games
• Ice cream coupons
• Dice games
• Sidewalk chalk
• Bubbles
• Anything else you can think of that would fit the theme

Cash donations are also welcome and we will purchase something on your behalf

Food Trucks
